Replacing the thermostat on your Suzuki outboard? You must remove the outlet pipe to reach the thermostat. Doing so means you must replace the outlet pipe gasket. These gaskets are
recommended
to be replaced
every time
the thermostat is changed or when deemed
necessary
. A bad gasket can cause water leaks and loss of pressure which can lead to other problems.
