This ecu is in unlocked state as it would be if bought at local BMW dealer for a lot less than half the price,Your local BMW dealer can program and code it for you for a fee of course,but I will include instruction sheet on steps to program code this ecu using Ista/d Ista/p if you have these working but other software programs like BMW Tools,INPA to program,NCS Expert to code, BMW explorer and Autohex will work too..Thanks   Please allow a couple of days to prepare ecu before shipping out as I'm out
